Mr.Verdoner

We all know that Mr. Verdoner is the super happy bald guy that smiles a lot and can speak Spanish but who is he really? Where has he been? What are some of his goals and hardships? I chose to do this interview on this specific teacher because his personality over ruled the rest. His classroom always has positive vibes and I am immediately relaxed and confident in its atmosphere. He pushes me to be a better person and to get all of my work done but my happiness is first. He always puts his students first and understands everyone has bad days and gets us through it.

Mr. Verdoner was born and raised in Boulder Colorado. Also known as the Hippy town located in northern Colorado. As a child he had dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player and he’d stay in his hometown. He had a happy child hood yet everyone has their flaws. That town was his first love and he had a plan of growing old there.

Mr.V went to and graduated from Boulder high in 1999, he participated and exceled in Gymnastics, Marching band, pier support, and student council. Even through high school he planned to stay in his same location, Boulder Colorado. His very first job was as a junior ranger doing trail work lifting and digging at the roots of the beautiful boulder hills. This job was only short term but his love for the outdoors made that difficult to walk away from.

Soon he found himself spending his first years of college (1999-2005) at c.u(Colorado University) where he gained his bachelor’s degree in Spanish. His last year (2015-2016) at C.S.U. where he graduated with his master’s in education. He personally struggled with self-motivation and focus yet persistence is getting him over that.

He has always had a passion for snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, and playing the trumpet. His talent with music put him into a reggae band which toured the state. HE has a special place in his heart for Reggae music. On his free time aside outdoor activates Mr. V enjoys watching the Denver Broncos (what a good man, I know). If you’re ever looking for him over the break you’ll find him anywhere that English isn’t spoken. His once piece of advice for all students is to be here and don’t get distracted with life. Let things happen and treasure your time as a kid because it goes by extremely fast and that time is valuable and you can never get it back.
