Abuse of Guns

Guns are weapons designed and made for self defense and or hunting. They’ve been used since 1836 over 181 years ago. In 2017 they’re used for keeping yourself safe and for the abusers of their rights, attacking or killing others. Will gun laws prevent mass murders or will it only restrict people from defending themselves from criminals with guns? Just because something is illegal doesn’t mean that it is out of everyone’s possession. If there’s a will there’s gonna be a way. Guns either save or end lives and that doesn’t change. The United States gun laws are active in  a number of federal statutes. “They are enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The right to keep and bear arms is protected by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.”

Last year, “ More than 100,000 people in America are shot in murders, assaults, suicides and suicide attempts, accidents, or by police intervention. 31,537 people die from gun violence:  11,583 people are murdered. 18,783 people kill themselves.”  Yes there are freak accidents and suicide, But why are mentally insane people allowed to have a form of weaponry and take others lives just because it’s in the constitution. Would taking them away make innocent people more targetable?

Mass assassinations are unexpected, brutal, and almost completely unpreventable. The most recent being in Las vegas nevada, at a jason aldean concert. The gunman was 64 and identified at stephen Paddock after he opened fire from the 32nd floor and injured 546, killing 59 on October first at 9;59pm he was announced dead at 10;15pm. “Paddock sprayed 200 bullets 200 rounds from his suit into the hallway of the Mandalay bay…….six minutes later he opened fire on the crowed then killed himself with a gunshot to the head.” Nobody knows how to prevent these tragedies. There’s no way around some of this horrific event but guns are in the hands of the wrong people.

In conclusion, gun laws should become more strict. The result of this restriction and higher security at places with easier targets could change this generation. We shouldn’t have to live in fear of people who abuse their right to own guns. At the pull of a trigger our whole world can become crashing down because of the hand attached to the body behind that gun.
