Mr. Bollan grew up in Cortez, CO in Cedar City. He is a geometry/social studies teacher at the Fruita 8/9 school.
His favorite things to do growing up were school, and other things other kids do like riding bikes, playing with friends, and listening to music. He played a lot of basketball and football as a kid as far as team sports.
When Mr. Bollan was growing up he wanted to always be a scientist because back then scientists were big. His first job was peeling the bark off of aspen trees. He says that he only lasted one day on the job because they messed around and didn’t get any work done. The equipment he used was a metal cylinder object with sharp ends with a handle and you would stick that in the bark to take it off. He says that they used the bark for air conditioner pads.
