2014 Class Elections

            vote

Our school is having class elections for the incoming sophomores. There are many students getting involved. Katie Klene, Cassidy Ahrens, and Elizabeth (Tibbit) Downing are running for president this year. For vice president Wade Toothacker and Vanessa Smith are running. Allison Carlton and Julia Terry are running for treasurer and secretary.

I think that school elections are a great thing for students to participate in. It helps us learn how to be a good leader and it prepares us for voting later in life. In presidential elections you have to make sure that you are properly educated before you vote. It is the same thing for student elections, you have to make sure that you know how the president, vice president and the secretary are going to represent your class.

I believe that every student in the class of 2014 should vote because it affects you. The class government makes choices for everyone in the class. If a person you don’t like gets in the government and you didn’t vote you can’t complain because you didn’t put your vote in and it could affect the whole election.

You should definitely go out and vote for the sophomore class government because they will affect your life and it gets you ready for voting when you turn 18. For the people who are running, keep campaigning! Go out and vote class of 2014! I’m sure who ever we elect is going to do a great job!
