Jelly beans have been around for many, many, many years. With thousands of flavors to choose from 10 of the most popular are; Very Cherry, Watermelon, Green Apple, Tangerine, Cotton Candy, Juicy Pear, Cinnamon, Licorice, Buttered Popcorn, and Berry Blue. In a class with 17 people in it, 2 people chose Very Cherry as their favorite, four people chose Watermelon, 1 person chose Bubble Gum, three chose Green Apple, none chose Tangerine, three people chose Cinnamon, 1 chose Berry Blue, two for Popcorn, and 1 for Cotton Candy. These flavors are mostly made from jelled sugar and rosewater and then covered in powdered sugar. From how popular jelly beans are about 15 billion people will eat them this Easter. They are even so popular that pollsters have found that boys are most likely to eat them handfuls at a time while girls like to eat them one at a time. Either way jelly beans are handfuls of flavor!

                Did you know that Jelly Belly jelly beans have their own national day? Yup! It’s April 22nd. This was made to keep the jelly rush going after Easter so productions weren’t slowed down. In fact, did you know it takes 7 to 21 days to make just one jelly bean? That’s almost 3 weeks to make something the size of a peanut! Jelly beans have also been up in space and were served on Air Force One. They made a special holder for the jelly bean jar so it wouldn’t fall and spill during turbulence.

                Mostly everybody enjoys eating Jelly Beans. A lot of people eat them, save them, and share them. There has been enough jelly beans eaten to circle the earth more than 5 times. Yeah. That’s a lot of jelly beans. But in the end, you gotta love them!
