Richard Sherman have a tough child hood growing up in the inner city of Compton. His mom and dad always supported their son in football. They raised him in a football environment. He has pretty much had a football in his hand sense birth. He has had a very incredible and surprising life so far.

Sherman went to a small high school in Compton called                 Manuel Dominguez High School. He was a coach’s favorite all through his high school years. He later went to Stanford Unviserty after getting a 4.1 GPA all through high school. Stanford is a very prestige school coming from a kid that grew up in Compton. At Stanford he played wide receiver and later when he got in the NFL he became a corner.

In his playoff game this year against San Francisco 49ers he got in a tiff with the receiver Michael Crabtree. It was the last play of the game and Collin Kaepernick through it deep into the end zone to Crabtree.  Crabtree was guarded by Sherman. Sherman tipped the ball before it hit Crabtree’s hands. The ball came down right into linebacker Malcom Smiths hands. The Seahawks then won the game and where on their way to the super bowl!

After that play Sherman and Crabtree got into a little tiff. Sherman said, and I quote, “Good game, good try, but I am the best corner in the league.” Crabtree then shoved Sherman’s helmet and started a whole argument. An interview after the game was very exciting. Sherman called out Crabtree because he is a “mediocre” receiver. A mediocre receiver should not be going against the best corner in the league as Sherman said.]

Richard Sherman is a very interesting player. Some say he is too cocky others say he is the best thing that has ever happened to the NFL. Coming from a kid that grew up in the small city of Compton, to a pro NFL corner back I think he is a very incredible guy.
