Yes, I said it I think John Kramer, (Played by Tobin Bell)—known as The Jigsaw Killer or simply Jigsaw—is a fictional character who appears in the Saw franchise as the main antagonist, is a good person. After watching all the Saw movies, excluding the one that came out last week, (Jigsaw), I believe that Jigsaw, AKA John, is a good person. Though sometimes his punishments are a little extreme, he does have a good moral but might go at it in a wrong 
way. But you have to remember that these traps work, I mean they worked on Amanda!
I know, there are people who did survive and were not happy about it. There was Sidney who had been forced to kill her boyfriend and another lady who was forced to cut her leg off to escape. They weren’t happy about it but their lives did improve in some ways. They held a Jigsaw Survivor Group, Seen in Saw 3-d, and was encouraged they survived, “We shouldn’t be ashamed of what we’ve gone through. Because we’re good and we are strong!” it didn’t really change their perspective, yet their lives changed in a good way.
Kramer says that you have to face death to appreciate life again. Even in the movie people recognize why he is doing this and says things like “John was right… Some people just don’t appreciate their life…” and “Yes he is right most people are ungrateful to live with their healthy self-ruining lives while the sick suffers.” So I am not the ONLY person who thinks this. He challenged people to tear the negativity away from their life and cause rebuilding if they survive. It’s like the evil that has to be there in order for there to be good.
You could say that John Kramer had a great idea in mind but went at it the wrong way, but even if they died, they were usually causing trouble to others or themselves, so was it the wrong way? I’ll leave at this, whilst it’s all behind a veil of killing and torture, Amanda quotes in saw II, he wants them to survive it.
I believe he is trying to do the right thing… But the knowledge of his impending death has made him do it in an insane (yet wicked fun to watch) way.
So Kramer, in conclusion, is a good person. He might be a little extreme but he wants peoples to change in lifestyle to be the same. And he has never killed anyone, he lets his subjects kill themselves if they do not complete his challenges which are usually related to this problem. So to answer this interesting question, Yes, Jigsaw, or John Kramer, is a good person.
