Mrs.Davis Interview

Mrs. Davis is our new asst. Principal at Fruita 8/9 she has been teaching for 27 years she loves kids and loves watching us grow and learn she grew up here and loves Grand Junction and Fruita.

Mrs. Davis grew up in Grand Junction, as a child some of her hobbies were listening to music, she listened to all different kinds of music because she grew up in a musical family her favorite kind of music was rock. another hobby of hers was playing trumpet and hanging out with friends. When she was born her family found out she was completely blind. She had to live 4 years without being able to see, her operations started when she was five years old, she went through nine operations to help her see.

She went to high school at Grand Junction High School when she graduated she went to college at Denver University then later on she moved to Colorado University also in Denver. Her favorite college sport was Men’s lacrosse at Denver University she started out studying in sports medicine because when she was younger she did not see teaching in her future.

Mrs. Davis has been teaching for 27 years and loves teaching because she loves watching kids grow up and learn lots. She does not teach/ direct any extracurricular activities but she enjoys teaching teachers and teaching them to teach us.

In conclusion Mrs. Davis is a very nice person and she solve any problem you have here at school some short advice she has for us 8/9ers is “try to be kind and do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do”- Mrs. Davis
