This bird will surprise you in its size, life habits and the ability to use what it has to survive. White tailed eagles are a rare breed that mostly populate in the west coast of Scotland. This Bird is a greyish brown bird that soars in the sky with a wingspan of 6.5 ft or longer. This helps them soar through the sky with ease and keep their bodies up when they are carrying their prey. The beak was one of the birds’ powerful tools.It is long with a hook at the end to slice through its prey. When they get fish, the beak and the talons play a huge role for the bird. The talons helped the eagle keep the fish it caught protected in its strong big talons. The beak will help when the eagle gets on to a tree to slice and devour the fish for its meal. Both juvenile and adult eagles have a natural habitat which are farmlands, marine and intertidal, upland and wetlands. They live here so they can get to their resources easier. They have some competition with the golden eagle with getting food sometimes. Golden eagles have a little bit of an upper hand in flying but
white tailed eagles are more tenacious and can live longer without food than golden eagles. White tailed eagles are overall more dominant than golden eagles. When it comes to breeding the female stays in the nest and protects the babies and feeds them and the male goes to hunt for food for a few weeks until the babies are ready to hunt and live for themselves. White tailed eagles are an amazing species of birds and have wondrous abilities we still don’t know.
