Today, I interviewed one of the best teachers at Fruita 8/9, Mrs. LaCount. She was born and raised right here in Fruita and doesn’t pl
an to ever leave. She has been happily married for six years and has two kids, Makayla and Collin. On her free time she likes to read and play with her kids. She also loves to watch basketball. The one place in world she would like to visit is Australia because it’s beautiful.
Before Mrs. LaCount became a teacher, she worked as a nurse for six years and then she got her degree in teaching. She has been working at Fruita 8/9 for six out of her seven years of teaching. “I chose to become a teacher because someone believed in me, and I wanted to give that back.” She also chose to teach language because she loves it. Mrs. LaCount is one of the best teachers around and has helped many students become better writers and people.
