There is a lot of discussion about the civil war in Syria right now. According to “CNN.com” The war started when the revolution in Tunisia announced the start of the “Arab Spring.” This caused violence in Daraa, Syria during March of 2011. “Infoplease.com” says that the casualty mark is over sixty thousand. That’s more than the predicted casualty’s estimation. The war has also been going on for 22 months.

“Policymic.com” says that the regime of Bashar al-Assad is gradually failing. They also say without Assad, Syria will become a pit of sectarian violence.

What I want to know is what is the so called Arab spring and how would it affect Syria. I also want to know what is at stake that it has taken 22 months and counting. I hope I have sparked your interest about the Syrian Civil war and encouraged you to look into it yourself.
