Polaris PRO-RMK

Polaris

Polaris has come up with a lot of new great ideas for their 2014 model of the PRO-RMK 800 163.There are many things that they have thought of that will be well used. The main new features include, QuickDrive™ Low Inertia Drive System, PowderTrac™ Running Boards, and a very strong Carbon Fiber Overstructure. The QuickDrive™ Low Inertia Drive System is designed to provide quicker acceleration and increased “flexibility” through reduced rotating mass. This is not simply a belt-drive, it is a complete lightweight drive system it also features an extruded drive shaft, lightweight brake, RMK-specific brake caliper and of course the most visible piece of the system which is a maintenance-free belt drive that requires no oil or tensioner system. This also Reduces rotational inertia by 21% which means 5lb. less effort when carving. The new PowderTrac™ running boards have been developed for maximum snow to be kept out and maximum strength.  It is built from extruded aluminum with bonded cast lugs, they make an open area of over 50% and integrated traction that is machined in for sure footed performance. They will make sure that your running boards will not catch any snow and then freeze to ice making it very difficult to stand on the running boards. The Carbon Fiber Overstructure improves the sled any many ways. When you have a sled that responds to your every input, you’ve got a sled that you can trust. From technical tree riding to a steep sidehill and turn out, the Pro-Ride chassis will help make you a better rider.  It makes the weight transfer better for Rider Active Control, and 300% more rigid chassis for more precise handling. This will reduce weight and it will not compromise any important strength. This incredible sled also features a new seat which is truly a mountain snowmobiling seat. The RMK features a new seat design. Shorter by 5.5″ allowing you to easily swing a leg from one side to the other when you need to rapidly changes your sidehill direction. along with a 3.75″ wider, flatter area for more comfortable seated riding.

The Polaris 2014 PRO-RMK 800 163 is a great overall sled. Polaris is constantly finding new ways to make their sleds lighter and better. They don’t ever compromise strength. They also have created a sled that will ride better in the snow then ever before, by upgrading to a Low Inertia Drive System. This just shows that everything is improving every year, in every way.
