Mr. Corbasson

On this my final week of blogging, I decided to interview Mr. Corbasson. The reason I interviewed him was the he is a very special kind of teacher. When he was an early adult, he was in the military in France. When he was in the military he was also teaching. He taught how to shoot, how to shoot with tanks, tactics, enemy identification, and the combat trials. He also taught his troops how to sing! If the troops didn’t sing he would make them do push-ups.

He also was a part of the business world. When he was in business he would teach sales and marketing. This is where he learned that you should never be late and to always be on time. He learned this when he was going to an interview for a big job. On the day of his interview there was a strike and traffic was intense so he was ten minutes late. Those ten minutes cost him the job but picked up a lesson he should teach his students.

He finally started teaching in public education at age 41. He says the best moments when he was teaching is taking the students to special events, receiving thank you notes, and when he sees an old student and they reunite and talk. He loves to teach students. His sees his students as crazy Redlands and Fruita munchkins. What makes him a special kind of teacher is that he was he had it hard in school and realized that students need a special teacher to motivate them and push them to be the best they can be. That is what makes Mr. Corbasson a special kind of teacher.
