Reasons not to Drink and Drive

Recently I just finished drivers ed. It was interesting at points and incredibly boring most of the time. But one point that the instructor drove into my head was not to drink and drive. Personally I have not lost anyone to drinking and driving but my heart goes out to anyone who has.
Drinking and driving is the act of becoming intoxicated through alcohol and getting behind the wheel of the car. Every day 29 people die in an automobile accident involving alcohol that translates to one death every 50 minutes. Approximately 112 million adults reported drunk driving. Four out of five drunk drivers are men, and 32% of all drunk driving accidents involve a male.
The legal alcohol blood level limit is 0.08 which is about four beers. If a small woman has two beers it would be equivalent to a normal man having four beers. After five beers the average person will have an alcohol blood concentration of 0.10 and after seven beers it would raise to 0.15.
I hope after reading this you consider what would happen if you drank and then considered to drive. Always have a designated driver, call someone, get a taxi but just don’t drink and drive
