This year in the NCAA march madness duke fell short of a championship. They lost too Mich. state by one point in the final 8. But they are coming back strong next year. They have some great commits. One of the greatest commits is Vernon Carey.
Here is some quick things on Vernon Carey Jr, he is an American basketball player committed to play for the Duke Blue Devils in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He finished his high school career at NSU University School as a five star recruit and among the top-ranked players in the 2019 class.there are many thing that this kid dose are very good but after watching a couple videos these are a couple thing that are really good that I saw. Carey is a low-post presence and strong rebounder with offensive potential. Carey has nice hands and very good touch around the basket. He has back-to-the basket moves and favors getting to a hook shot, but he can also bully his way to the rim. He has added a jump shot that extends out to the college 3-point stripe, which is key for his long-term potential. Carey does a very good job rebounding his area, pursues the ball off the rim and boxes out well.
Duke made it official that Tre Jones will be back for a sophomore season. Having Jones at the point next year changes things dramatically for the Blue Devils and solidifies one of their starters. Recent commitments from Hurt and Stanley—No. 10 and No. 29 in the Class of 2019, respectively gives Duke some much needed offensive firepower. And they lost a lot of it last year with Cam Reddish, Zion, and Barrett. They will have many of the players to win the tournament text year. Good luck Duke.
