The Lockness Monster

In the deep lakes of Scotland something is lurking. It swims to and fro. But, what is it? Is it a snake? Is it an overgrown fish? It lifts it’s head out of the water. It’s… Nessie?!

According to the official site, nessie.co.uk, “They first saw a long neck, forming a number of arches, a little thicker than a elephant’s trunk and a huge lumbering body heading towards the Loch. It disappeared into the bushes out of sight. After this sighting reports flooded in and interest grew on an international scale.”. This means that it could indeed be real.

According to visitscotland.com, “She’s long and thin, usually green and with black humps, tail and snake-like head. And she’s shy. When she’s emerging from the water, you can just see her body breaking through the waves. You’ll be strangely mesmerised by the sight, and you’ll instantly know that you saw her when you spot perfect circles of disturbed water that she leaves behind as she swiftly disappears again to the depths of the loch.”. Now we know what to look for when we go to Scotland.

And finally in the article, “Loch Ness” on Encyclopaedia Britannica the authors state, “Like some other very deep lochs in Scotland and Scandinavia, Loch Ness is said to be inhabited by an aquatic monster. Many sightings of the so-called Loch Ness monster have been reported, and the possibility of its existence—perhaps in the form of a solitary survivor of the long-extinct plesiosaurs—continues to intrigue many.”. This means that it could be an immortal dinosaur.

So what do you think? Is it an immortal plesiosaur or a monster? Or just merely a hoax? You decide, dear reader.
