The Story of Mr. Bollan

The story of Mr. Bollan,

Mr. Bollan is a geometry teacher at the Fruita 8/9. First I will talk about his childhood. He was born in Cortez and grew up in cedar city. He went to Moab lots of times and went to the World’s Fair. He also went to Arkansas. He liked math a lot, but only because he was good at it. He played basketball in middle school and his freshman year.

During his high school career, he played football and a little bit of basketball and math was his favorite subject. He did independent study and never took higher level math classes. One of his junior semesters he spent up in Alaska. He had no idea what he wanted to do after school and his junior year algebra teacher was one of the teachers who helped him realize he wanted to teach.

Mr. Bollan has been teaching for 15 years and started in 2005. He taught at West Middle School, Mount Garfield, and now at the 8/9. His favorite part about teaching is that he is constantly busy and has lots of challenges. He also likes being able to help lots of people and affect many people’s lives. His least favorite thing about teaching is not being able to help certain kids as much as he wants to.

That is the story of Mr. Bollan’s life.
