There have been many rumors about the future career move of Denver Nuggets star, Carmelo Anthony. Anthony, who has been with the Nuggets for 7 years, is considering a move. Then New Jersey Nets have been showing the most interest in acquiring Anthony. The Nets have been proposing a three-team deal with the Nuggets and Detroit Pistons, for Anthony, Chauncey Billups, and Richard Hamilton. Through this trade Denver would receive Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, Anthony Morrow, two first-round picks as well as three others and Troy Murphy and Johan Petro would be headed for Detroit. The only problem with this deal…Carmelo Anthony doesn’t want to play for the Nets. Anthony doesn’t have to sign the contract with New Jersey. Anthony would like to join Amar’e Stoudimire and the New York Knicks. But the Knicks don’t really want any of Denver’s players enough to top the deal that New Jersey is making.
Anthony’s third option would be to stay with the Nuggets. This is a very likely choice for him for a couple of different reasons. The biggest factor is that he doesn’t want to play for New Jersey and New York isn’t showing that much interest. Also if he left Denver he would lose a lot of fans. The same thing happened in Cleveland when LeBron James chose to move to Miami. It has been a long process and will have an interesting turnout for Carmelo Anthony.
