On Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum dropped out of the race to be the Republican presidential nominee. Sources say Santorum forfeited the race to spend his time praying over his three year old daughter Bella. Bella Santorum suffers from a very rare genetic condition known as Trisomy 18; she had been hospitalized Friday, April 6th. This is what Santorum stated compelled him to back out of the race, many critics say that this was merely an excuse for Santorum to get out and keep his image “intact” for the 2016 presidential elections. This leaves Romney, Gingrich, and Paul to duke it out for the nominee, but who am I kidding? There is no way Gingrich or Paul can compete with Romney, let alone president Obama. I feel that none of the Republicans party’s candidates are very competent, with Paul having a foreign policy that’s bound to get the United States nuked, Santorum having such radical and strict views on everything, Perry just not being very bright, Gingrich who just isn’t that likeable, and Romney who is just feeding everyone a bunch of crap he thinks they want to hear. It’s a dark time for America, and hopefully a leader will arise soon that can lead us back to the light.
