Mr. Laurienti grew up in Grand Junction, Denver, and South Dakota. As a child, he liked to read and write but teaching wasn’t his idea of fun. Before he chose to be a teacher Mr. Laurenti wanted to be an actor or an artist. At the age of 14, Mr. Laurenti knew that what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to become a teacher because he thought that learning was the most important thing you can receive. He knew that everyone had to get an education to be successful in life.
He grew up and eventually went to college. Mr. Laurenti got his bachelor’s degree at CMU and his master’s degree at USC. He got good enough grades to become a teacher and eventually work to become a teacher and follow his goal. Eventually he moved and was able to get a teaching position. (:
Mr. Laurenti is now a Comp Literacy teacher at Frutia 8/9. He has hundreds of students walk in and out of his classroom every day. This is his seventh year teaching students and the only other school he taught at was Frutia High School. His favorite book is Jack Carowacks on the Road and his favorite genre is realistic fiction.
