Interview with Coop

Mr.Cooper grew up in Rifle around 60 miles away and went to a lot of different schools there. He had a great childhood in Rifle, but when he got the opportunity to leave he did. He left to attend a few colleges around Colorado; such as The University of Colorado and Mesa State. He finished college at Mesa State and from then on started his career.

Coop has been working at Fruita 8/9 for the past ten years (since it opened up). He enjoys his job as a gym teacher and loves the 8/9. When asked what he thought the best quality of Fruita 8/9 was he said it was about the balance. His opinion was that having both 8 and 9th graders is good because it balances out the negatives and positives.

Coop enjoys fishing and hunting in his free time. His favorite number is three and he prefers Italian over Mexican food but likes both. Country music is his jam and he can always enjoy laying back and reading a good western book. His favorite pet is his Cat named Callie, the reason for this is because she is his only pet.

The best day of Coopers life was when his son was born. If he could change on thing in his life it would be that Fruita didn’t loose the State Championship game. Mr.Cooper has a little brother only 2 years younger. He decided to be a gym teacher because he could wear casual clothes all the time and he also could work with kids everyday.

Coop is a funny guy to be around always bringing a smile to your face. He’s nearly always smiling and joking. Coop is a good gym teacher because he takes it easy on you and his teaching skill is unique. He may be loud but he’s a pretty cool guy.
