Ms. Blevens- Biography

Ms. Blevens is an awesome biology teacher here at the 8/9, and she also leads the student senate, which is in charge of most event planning and decoration around the school. Without her, our school would just be much more boring to be in. So I was wondering, How did she get here, of all places? After an interview with her, I have learned some interesting things about it and am writing this biography.
When Ms. Blevens was a little girl named Julie, you wouldn’t have thought she would grow up to be a science nerd. She spent her time doing crafts with her mom, participating in various 4H events, and going to classes for dance and ballet. But then, sometime in seventh grade, her interest in science was sparked. Throughout high school, she spent a lot of time learning and experimenting with different things, and she liked it enough that she decided to pursue it in college. But that wasn’t her real final decision, not yet. She says that for a time she wanted to go into medicine to be an emergency room nurse, and also, she had a theatre phase where she wanted to be on Broadway! But in the end, she decided to go into the science field. She majored in biology and later earned her master’s in neuroscience and anatomy.
After college, Ms. Blevens wondered what career path she should choose. She knew that she liked teaching, but still had other interests like 4h and didn’t know what to do. But then, she read a particular book that inspired her to share her knowledge and to become a teacher. While looking for opportunities, she must have found one at Fruita 8/9 school as a biology teacher.
Today, Ms. Blevens spends her school time teaching biology classes, planning and running school events with the Senate, and being an awesome person in general. Outside of school, She liked to volunteer for 4h, hang out with friends, and spend time in nature at her family’s cabin. When she goes out to eat, she likes to go to Boston’s and Munchies.
Clearly, Ms. Blevens is the coolest person on earth. When asked how she is so awesome, she said “I just give people room to be themselves and work with that.” In conclusion, We are glad to have her here at the 8/9, and we hope she never leaves.
